FITiST OF THE WEEK: MEET SAM
We love weddings and our Bride plan is just perfect to get Brides-to-Be looking perfect for their Big Day. This week, we wanted to highlight one of our many upcoming brides, Sam. With two months to go, Sam is confusing her muscles on a daily basis and living the FITiST dream. In short, her fiancé is a very lucky guy. (PS - For all you friends of Sam’s, beware of the best man.)
Name: Sam W.
Homebase: Upper East Side
Occupation: Attorney
Bridal Tone Up Workout? A little bit of everything and a lot of spinning. Through FITiST, I've explored Barry's Bootcamp, TRX workouts and Pilates. And my excellent trainer Dawn at Brownings Fitness. My muscles are sufficiently confused.
First Song - Fast or Slow? Medium. Some slow parts with rock ballad excitement mixed in to spice it up.
Reception Playlist Must-Have? Killers, Guns n Roses, anything 80s, Van Morrison (domino) and Genesis (invisible touch).
Best Man: Life of the Party or Potential Liability? Total liability
Morning After Indulgence? Anything besides oatmeal, which has been my go-to breakfast. In a perfect world, Norma’s or Five Points would be in order.
Honeymoon: Surprise or Perfectly Planned? Perfectly planned, thanks to my fiancé. We are going on safari so we need to work around the animals. I'm told we will be up before dawn, I'm used to that thanks to 6am spin!
How do You Find Your Best? In the spin studio, hands down. I zone out but also have some moments of clarity. During each ride, I pick a moment (usually up a steep hill with an amazing song choice), shut my eyes and decide that it's the best part of the ride. I probably smile too, I know it's embarrassing, probably why they keep the lights low. Then I think about that moment during the rest of my day if I get stressed out and need to re-focus.
