Working out is addictive. However, without a little R&R, your body won’t reap all of the benefits of exercise. Physical changes don’t actually kick in until about 24-48 hours after exercise, when your body is building muscle proteins, removing metabolic waste, replenishing energy stores, and repairing tissue damage. So being, you won’t get the results you want and deserve for all of your hard work if you don’t sleep and relax. Putting in the time into your workouts is important, but make sure you take some time to rest too.
